Our tour cost is based on classic twin or double accommodation; therefore a single room is on request. A limited number of single rooms in the accommodation are available at the supplementary cost. Please note that some hotels may offer a single bed only in a single room.

Our Italian Specialist here in our Australian office shall accompany the tour group and leader as an escort for selected departures only. For all tours the group shall be lead by a professional registered tour leader.

All properties in our tours are handpicked luxury boutique and/or traditional Hotels, Manor Houses and Country Villas; most are family owned with historical charm, superb friendly hospitality and located in ideal surroundings suited to the place. All have modern facilities and some with swimming pools, gardens and spa therapy treatments.

The star ratings of all properties included in our tour itineraries are according to the classifications approved by the Local Authorities of each region or country and therefore, comparisons of hotel standards within different countries, indicated by star ratings, are best avoided.

The classic room type is included in our tour and we work closely with our properties to ensure the best rooms of this category are selected for our tour, which is based on availability. However, please keep in mind at all times that these properties are historical buildings and not all purposely built hotels, therefore, room shapes and sizes vary throughout. In regards to bedding configuration, a single room can be a single or double or twin bed arrangement; and a double room can be a double or queen size bed or two twin beds pushed together, depending on the property.

If you wish to confirm a room type upgrade; for example to have a sea-view or lake-view room or to have a certain facility, for example a Jacuzzi; this shall be at an extra cost and your request can only be accepted prior to making your final payment and shall be subject to availability.

All quoted rates and prices are in Australian dollars. All costs are subject to alteration at any time due to currency fluctuation between Australian Dollars and the Euro.

Travel Insurance is a mandatory requirement for Ciao Travel's tours and recommended for purchased at the same time as paying your first deposit. If you prefer to arrange your travel insurance independently, we require details of the policy you have purchased. We offer comprehensive travel insurance with two reputable companies; QBE and CHI travel insurance, for more information please contact us or click here.

All travellers must hold valid passports with six months validity on departing your last visited destination. Some nationalities require entry visas into certain countries and these must be obtained prior to entry. It is your responsibility to make sure all travel documentation is obtained and valid.

Our tours are not suitable for children under 16 years. For all participants 16 years and over, the full adult cost shall apply.

We require all clients to be moderately fit and healthy for our tours, to be able to participate in walking for long durations on hard surfaces and climbing hills and steps. Steps are common in Italy and most other countries; however, lifts are not always available, due to the structuring of the historical buildings in which the property resides. Steps, and often many of them, are apparent outside also, especially in hill and cliff side villages, so make sure you have good supportive walking shoes. It is your responsibility to check with your medical practitioner that you are in a fit condition to partake in our tour comfortably.

Bookings are accepted, subject to the services applied for being available. Ciao Travel and/or the other tour operator involved reserve the right, without notice, to modify, cancel or withdraw any of the arrangements and in this event the amounts paid will be returned to the client, and upon rendering the same, liability of Ciao Travel and/or the other tour operator in respect thereof shall cease. Ciao Travel and/or the other tour operator reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any party at anytime.

Please be aware that for all airlines and land operators, rescheduling of confirmed services booked can apply at anytime, before and after departure. The choice to reschedule a service is out of Ciao Travels control, however before departure we will advise you of any changes made when possible. After your departure, it is your responsibility to reconfirm with all service providers for any rescheduling. This will apply to accommodation, coach services and tours.
