Mindful Balance

We all look forward to holidays for a multitude of reasons, but there is no better time to check-in on yourself, to slow down, rest and restore one’s body. Holidays are a perfect time to reflect on your health and wellbeing, and splurge on a pampering spa treatment. For all you Spa enthusiast, be assured, I too have indulged in many of these occasions where opportunity has knocked on my worldly travels and would love to share some inspiring locations with you.

Yoga

Yoga is a leader in the practice of understanding more about oneself, one’s strengths and weaknesses, and an awakening to how fast we move and push ourselves every day. Time to focus on yourself, breathe, refresh, rest, and slowdown from the buzz of life. It is a good antidote for happiness and keeping your mind and body healthy. Yoga creates friendships around the world. Playful poses in Sardinia

Qigong

Who is Qigong for?
Qigong is a Chinese practice that has proven to transform people’s health and well-being for over 2500 years. Qigong continues to harmonies and the balance the lives of those practicing in the modern world. It frees up your body, mind, and spirit and creates happiness within one’s self.
Perfect to practice whilst traveling, no mats or props required, just you grounding your feet to the earth!

When travelling, a few minutes a day of Yoga, Meditation, or Qigong will allow you to focus on yourself, the breath, and to slow down to a restful mind and pace. Choosing one or more of these practices is sure to set you up for a joyful day of holiday experiences.

You may have other forms of exercise that you enjoy doing on holiday that offer a more aerobic reward, which is fabulous. Definitely make some time for these too.

Meditation

Meditation is the practice of quieting the mind and is the recipe for balance. Experiment sitting quietly alone with no technology or other distractions and just listen to your surroundings. Close your eyes or lower your gaze, focus on breathing in and out of your amazing body and enjoy the moment. Meditation can be difficult to do at times, but if tolerated the benefits are profound.

Cindy is a certified Mindfulness & Reiki Practitioner, Yoga & Qi Gong Teacher, who loves these practices to enhance and balance her life. Cindy is here at Ciao Travel to assist you with practicing yoga and meditation on your next holiday.
